This Privacy Policy describes how Verona Strategic LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the SnapDat API and website (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and create an API key associated with your account.
Billing information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with limited billing data (last 4 digits, expiry, billing name) for customer support purposes.
Usage data: We log API requests including timestamp, endpoint called, URL screenshotted, HTTP status, and your plan tier. We use this data to enforce usage limits and improve the Service.
Technical data: We collect standard web server logs including IP address, browser/client type, and referring URLs when you access our website.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service
- To enforce usage limits and detect abuse
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (account creation, invoices, usage alerts)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve our Service based on usage patterns
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. URLs You Submit
URLs submitted to the SnapDat API are processed to generate screenshots and OG cards. We may log URLs for debugging and rate-limiting purposes. We do not store screenshots or OG cards after they are returned to you — outputs are ephemeral.
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only with:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Railway — infrastructure hosting
- Law enforcement or government authorities when required by applicable law
5. Data Retention
Account and billing data is retained for as long as your account is active and for 3 years after deletion for legal and financial record-keeping purposes. API usage logs are retained for 90 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS for all data transmission and encrypted storage for sensitive credentials. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@snapdat.io. We will respond within 30 days.
To delete your account and associated data, email us with the subject line "Delete my account."
8. Cookies
Our website does not use tracking cookies. We use a session cookie solely to maintain your login state on the website.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
